macOS
Gatekeeper warning
When opening a newly downloaded version of Ordara, macOS may display a warning saying the app is from an unidentified developer or that it can't verify the app.
To open the app:
- Right-click (or Control-click) the Ordara app icon and select Open from the context menu. Click Open again in the dialog that appears.
If that doesn't work:
- Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS versions).
- Go to Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the Security section. You should see a message about Ordara being blocked.
- Click Open Anyway and confirm.
TIP
You only need to do this once per downloaded version. After the first launch, macOS will remember your choice and open the app normally.
Replacing an older version
- Close Ordara completely.
- Download the latest
.zipfrom our Discord. - Extract and drag the new Ordara app into your Applications folder, replacing the existing version.
- Launch Ordara from Applications.
Windows
Installer fails or hangs
If the Ordara installer fails to complete on Windows:
- Close the installer if it is still running.
- Uninstall the current version first. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Ordara, and click Uninstall.
- Download the latest installer from our Discord.
- Run the new installer.
Windows SmartScreen warning
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning when you run the installer. This can happen with newer or less commonly downloaded applications.
- Click More info on the SmartScreen dialog.
- Click Run anyway.
Verifying Your Version
To check which version of Ordara you are currently running, open the app and look in the bottom left corner of the window.
